In this hands-on course, I will guide you through the intricate process of sewing your very own pair of custom, made-to-measure gloves. You'll learn how to adjust glove patterns to fit any hand perfectly, along with insider sewing tips and tricks to ensure your gloves are beautifully tailored.
During this course I'll teach you:

Insider sewing tips and tricks to ensure your gloves are beautifully tailored
Tips on the best way to work with stretch material
Glove design discussions
Step-by-step support as you make gloves yourself
Complete materials package for glove construction
You’ll leave with your own bespoke pair of gloves, and tons of knowedge on glovemaking!
Please note that this course is for experienced sewers.
Each course has space for up to three students, to ensure that I can give each and every student the personal care and attention they deserve to complete this glovemaking course.
When & where
Location: Zaandam, the Netherlands (address details will follow). Zaandam is very close to Amsterdam. Location can be reached by public transport, car, or bike. Free parking available.
Date: Friday January 23 2026 and Saturday January 24 2026
Time: 10:00-17:00 on both days
Schedule
Day 1 will start off with an introduction to glovemaking, you'll be creating patterns in your own size, testing different glovemaking techniques, and we'll get started on glovemaking.
During day 2 you will continue the creation of your own custom pair of gloves. During this day we will also do a deep dive into different ways of glove construction.
What's included
Tea and coffee
Lunch (vegan and vegetarian options available)
Materials to create a pair of gloves
Tools and sewing machines are available, but feel free to bring your own tools
Basic glove pattern (for personal use only!)
What's required
Sewing experience (you don't have to be a professional, but you have to know how to use a sewing machine)
Fluency in either Dutch or English
To complete the course you will have to be present both days
Language
This course can be taught either in Dutch or in English, depending on the attending students. If you are Dutch and you're worried you won't understand the course material in English, don't worry; I will also explain everything in Dutch if needed!

The total cost of this 2-day course is €695,-. When booking your spot, you will be required to make a 10% down payment. I will contact you via email afterwards, to discuss the remaining payment, which must be made 4 weeks in advance of the course at the latest.
